Kaçkar mountain range rises above the Black Sea Coast in the north eastern of Turkey, offer a unique ecological landscape for all nature lovers to explore the home of the fourth highest peak in Turkey, Mount Kaçkar, 3937m, discover the beauty of glacier lakes, land of high passes, and wild flowers, as well as connect with the hospitalities of the local people.
Our guide will meet you at Rize Airport (morning flight before 11AM is preferable) and transfer to Çamlıhemşin (1hr). Check in at our hotel in Çamlıhemşin, get some refreshment and rest. Our guide will give an overall program briefing and do a final equipment checkup after our welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight in Patika Pansiyon (Çamlıhemşin)
After breakfast, we will visit historical sites at the foothills of Kaçkar Mountains (Zil Castle, Palovit Waterfall, Çinçiva Village, and have lunch at Makrevis Village. Continue our walk and explore their beautiful wooden houses, and return to our hotel. Have dinner at the hotel and our guide will give a short briefing for tomorrow.
Overnight in Patika Pansiyon (Çamlıhemşin)
After breakfast, we will drive around 1.5hr to the Trovit Plateau and the starting point (2400m, 11AM). Continue our ascend to Yıldız Glacier Lake (2900m) and have lunch here. if time allows, we can have a dip in the icy lake and enjoy the scenic view around the lake. By 5 PM, we should reach back to the starting point, and transfer back to Çamlıhemşin. Have dinner at the hotel and our guide will give a short briefing for tomorrow.
Overnight in Patika Pansiyon (Çamlıhemşin)
After breakfast, we will drive around 1.5hr to Pokut Plateau (2000m) and start hiking through the forest (2 hrs). Have traditional lunch with some local dishes at Pokut Plateau and continue for a short hike to Sal Plateau. By 5 PM, we should reach back to the starting point, and transfer back to Çamlıhemşin. Have dinner at the hotel and our guide will give a short briefing for tomorrow.
Overnight in Patika Pansiyon (Çamlıhemşin)</p<
After breakfast, we will have an easy hike to Arhavi Mençuna Waterfall (1hr) and have lunch at a local fish restaurant. Transfer to Rize airport, say goodbye to our guide and bring wonderful memories home.
